In a world where everything is about speed, quality and the future, it’s not surprising that the construction industry needs to be ahead of the curve to meet the demands of commercial and residential customers. Polypipe Building Products has always invested heavily in the development of new products and systems to meet the challenges its customers face and as a result, has launched its latest Underfloor Heating product, Overlay™ Plus.
The new product replaces Overlay™ as the premium over-existing-floor solution. It’s lighter, panels are larger to cover areas faster and the system allows for increased upward heat output and reduced downward heat loss. The requirement therefore was to produce a short film for social media and online, informing Installers of the new system and how it will help them to deliver a quality job, quicker, more cost-effectively and with a high-quality product.
Speed was clearly the way to go, but there needed to be a concept that delivered the subsequent messages of heat transfer, quality and lightness. Utilising subliminal, ‘quick-fire’ messaging on-screen, interspersed with actual animated product, we achieve both informing the audience of the benefits of new Overlay™Plus, AND the proposition of speed of installation through the creative application. The music was upbeat and was integral to the messaging – delivering the individual words on the beat.
The nature of the film was perfect for social media given the pace of the messaging. And it served to be a successful information tool for busy installers, delivering a simple, straightforward message, in a simple, straightforward film.
